It all started in 2017 when Drew and Elizabeth Rasmussen left their big city roots behind to re-settle the 100-year-old family homestead in a remote corner of Northeastern Colorado with absolutely zero experience in agriculture. They reconnected with neighbor and distant cousin Lawrence Burns, whose housewarming "gift" was a 50 year old set of wire-stretchers and a quick lesson on how to use them.

Since that day, the founders of Pawnee Fence Company have combined the tried and true methods of the old west frontier with the efficiency of modern construction methods and technology.
